John & Ienne’s vintage minimalist wedding

We couldn't get enough of John and Ienne's impeccable taste — they combined vintage and minimalist to create a clean but truly memorable look for their wedding at Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges & Baguio Country Club's Infinity Garden.

Some of the details we absolutely loved:

• Ienne’s high-neck dress with a romantic lace design at the back by Ifav

• The whimsical invites from Fel and Ink

• The bridesmaids’ jumpsuits (Ienne changed into a white jumpsuit, too, halfway through the reception)

• That bouquet from Moki Gray that’s absolutely gorgeous!

• Everything about the reception styling by Moki Gray — the cloud of gypsophilia and string lights on the ceiling, the centerpieces, the dance floor right at the center of the garden (we especially love this setup where tables surround the dance floor, because it's a very intimate layout & all guests area easily visible from any angle).

• The sweet gesture by the couple to gift their parents and family instead of each other — definitely one of the sweetest moments in any wedding.

• The quiet moment between Ienne and John right before they went to the chapel

• Ienne singing & John playing the guitar while the entourage lit sparklers to open their reception!

• Disposable cameras all over the tables, and tequila shots!

We love so many things about Jemar and Ayi’s wedding at Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges — the vibrant florals paired with Ayi’s emerald shoes, the custom embroidery on Jemar’s Suit It Up Manila suit, the Cordilleran textile details on the bridesmaids’ dressses & on the reception tables and stage at the Baguio Country Club’s Cordillera Convention Hall.

But what really made their photos stand out was Jemar and Ayi’s incredible energy on the day! We love how comfortable they are together, and that is just really beautiful in photos. What an incredible day to be a part of!

Personally, nothing resonates with us more than a small outdoor wedding. We love photographing nature, and we live for wedding photos taken among towering trees, lush foliage, and bare earth. This is why we especially love Erika and Felix's intimate affair — it was set deep in the woods (not in Baguio, but in nearby La Trinidad) with the most vibrant warm hues, wildflowers, and the most incredible golden light.

Five days shooting around Siquijor and the south of Cebu has been such a dream, and so was photographing Matt and Brenna around some of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve seen of late — from the sandbar of Sumilon to the perfect, perfect(!) beach of Paliton. A week’s worth of gorgeous golden hours in the middle of summer — when you live in Baguio, that’s not something you see everyday.

But the best thing about this was how things didn’t feel contrived at all — not the way Matt and Brenna were around each other; not them wearing regular clothes and absolutely no makeup on. That, my friends, is the dream.

pinewoods baguio wedding

Ian and Deanna’s Baguio wedding was a beautiful afternoon ceremony at Pinewoods Golf and Country Club, with sweeping (sunset!) views of its golf course on one side and Baguio City’s hillside communities on the other. The couple’s family manages Pinewoods’ in-house restaurant, Manduto Cafe & Restaurant, which also did the catering at the wedding.

This was our first coverage at Pinewoods and it’s been one of our favorite locations since! As can be seen from the photos, the ceremony and reception areas were held right next to each other, and the area can accommodate larger crowds. We’re sure intimate weddings will look just as nice! Also, food at Manduto is REALLY good (you can try the restaurant any time! It’s a golf club but non-members are welcome to dine). <3

Other things worth noting:

• For those having Catholic ceremonies, there’s a new church along Marcos Highway near the entrance to Suello, where Pinewoods is. It’s less than five minutes away by car. Other than that, Holy Family Parish in Bakakeng is the next nearest option, but this one’s five kilometers away. Please check Google Maps for Pinewoods’ proximity to other churches. It’s always a great idea to have your venues 15 minutes or less away from one another. From our end, less travel time means more time for photos! So the farther your locations are from one another, the more you’re going to have to adjust.

• There are so far no accommodations at the club for preps, but the bride prepared at Sunset View Ridge Residences, which is also a five minute drive from the club.
